With Mikorou and Odoo, we take manufacturing management to the next level with a digital shop floor and an AI-supported supply chain

How production control becomes clear, step by step
Manufacturers today have to balance three things: ever more complex processes, changing customer requirements and limited resources.
With Odoo as the production foundation, we digitalise your manufacturing processes: costs are visible as they happen and shop-floor execution is managed in one system — instead of discovering the problem at month-end closing.
Production is not just production — six problems that keep hitting efficiency and delivery dates
Many manufacturers keep hitting the same wall. These are the most common cases:
- Materials turn out to be missing when you need them — from electronic components to raw materials, availability is unreliable
- Work orders still run on paper, information is out of sync, and the office and the shop floor see different pictures
- Not enough transparency: production problems surface only when a customer asks
- Shop-floor feedback lacks real data, and what is captured does not match the actual operations
- Many product variants, many semi-finished items and deep BOM levels make maintenance extremely complex
- Inaccurate data, constant order insertions, and design that does not match production

The solution — Odoo as the digital foundation for manufacturers
Odoo is an integrated system designed around the varied needs of manufacturers. These eight things are what genuinely change daily life on the shop floor once it is live.
Shop-floor execution moves onto screens, so workers no longer depend on paper work orders
Whether each operation was done, and how much, is recorded truthfully in the system
Production dependencies are logically validated instead of remembered by experience
Master data and multi-level BOMs are maintained flexibly — change once, and it flows through
Routings and semi-finished stages are clearly visible, without manual spreadsheets
No complexity for its own sake — configured around how you actually produce
Costs and resource consumption are visible in real time, with no waiting for month-end
Works on mobile and tablet, right at the workstation
Odoo gives you everything you need for fully digital production:
available on mobile at any time, fully integrated in one system.
Shop floor, quality, engineering changes and maintenance, connected
In Odoo these are not four separate systems but different views of the same data.
Shop-floor execution
Digital management of production tasks: dispatching, reporting, completion and exception feedback all in one screen
Quality management
Inspections are performed during execution, and results link automatically to work orders and lots
Engineering changes
Product changes link to drawings and documents, so R&D changes land directly in the BOM and operations
Equipment maintenance
Checks, servicing, faults and repairs are all recorded, reducing unplanned downtime
The system tells you at a glance whether everything production needs is in place — materials, equipment and people — before a delay happens.
Questions you may have
What does MRP solve in Odoo?
It answers what to buy, how much and when it arrives. The system calculates material requirements from orders, stock and replenishment rules, lists shortages explicitly and can trigger purchasing, production or transfers automatically; unconfirmed quotations and vendor requests can also be included in the calculation.
How does shop-floor execution (MES) work?
Operations are defined by routing, and start, completion, scrap and material consumption are reported directly at the workstation; progress is visible in real time. Quality checks, maintenance and time records attach to the operation — a solid basis for digital shop-floor control.
What does production data capture (BDE) collect?
It records working time and operation data at the workstation in real time, for scheduling, cost calculation and efficiency improvement. Unlike recollection afterwards, real data shows where the bottleneck actually is.
What does OEE measure?
It measures equipment effectiveness across availability, performance and quality, so you can pinpoint stoppages and losses and improve specifically — instead of a vague claim that utilisation is low.
What does PLM cover?
It manages drawings, versions and engineering changes, linked directly to the BOM and operations, so R&D and the shop floor always work from the same latest release — no more design changes the shop floor never hears about.
What does equipment connectivity (IoT) bring?
Machines, sensors, gauges and scales connect to the system, capturing and returning data automatically, which cuts manual entry and transcription errors.
How does the shop floor go paperless?
Workers view digital work instructions, start jobs, report progress and flag exceptions on a tablet — all real-time and centrally controlled. Paper work orders and verbal handovers can retire.
A complex process?
With Mikorou, getting Odoo live is actually simple.
